Using your Domain Name

We have nearly 15 years of experience in this field and can help you make informed decisions when selecting a Domain Name to represent your presence on the internet…

Your Domain name can be used in a variety of ways to your advantage!

Hopefully, you’ll be using it to point at your website, wherever that is. The website doesn’t have to be hosted at the same place where it was registered. As long as you have access to the management of the Domain Name, you can point it at pretty much anywhere, or anything. You may have Registered it at 123-Reg but as long as you know how, your website can be hosted somewhere else to your advantage.

You can use your Domain Name for forwarding or re-directing all traffic to your existing website, regardless of where that is. So, should you have a website that is already hosted at a free address (like www.12765H.wix.com) you can now give it the more professional-looking address of your new Domain Name.

You can register a multitude of different Domain Names and point them all at a single website! try this: Go to www.diy.com and then www.bandq.co.uk? You’ll end up at the same website, the site of DIY giant superstore, B and Q. But it makes you think, doesn’t it? You could register mybusinessname.com. my-business-name.com and thethingswesell.com and point them all at your website to increase your visitor numbers and ultimately, improve your business!

You can also use your Domain Name for e-mail addressing. We never fail to be astonished at the number of businesses, local and UK-based or global that have a website but still use an AOL, Freeserve or BTintenet e-mail address. Stop it! It not only looks bad but it means that you have no choice when shopping around for Broadband; you have to stick with your e-mail provider. We can free you from those chains…!

We can help with the registration, management and configuration of domain names for your website and e-mail requirements. Give us a call or use the contact form to get in touch!
